Within the frame of the SFB TRR 102, scientists investigated processes of structure formation and self-assembly in macromolecular systems. Central topics were crystallization in the field of synthetic polymers, amyloid formation in the field of proteins, and studies of hybrid systems containing molecular elements of both.
The virtual issue is a collection of twenty articles originating from their research and published in Macromolecular Chemistry and Physics, Macromolecular Bioscience, and Macromolecular Theory and Simulations.
